Treasury hosted its second men’s event aimed at raising overall awareness of how lifestyle choices affect men in their daily lives.
The HOD, Zakariya Hoosain welcomed nearly 50 men from our department at our annual Men’s Health event. This year’s session involved a talk from ICAS and they presented a happy and healthy living presentation. The purpose of the presentation circled around encouraging men in Treasury to be exposed to the same experience on the topics covered and thereafter support each other on their journey towards a happier and healthier lifestyle.
As November is the month known as mental health awareness month for men, we are encouraged to inform our men and young men that they need to be on the path of consistency and good mental health.
Topics covered related to:
- Stress Management
- Common health problems
- Building resilience
- Relationships and what men want
- How to care for yourself
The highlights of the presentation were that you ought to have play time but have moderation in everything you eating or drinking. These choices don’t just affect you but in the long run can affect your family life and work life.
