Minister Meyer recently visited provincial and municipal infrastructure projects as part of his executive oversight over infrastructure spending and delivery of services.
The Kleinbrak Water Treatment Plant and the Mossel Bay Desalination Plant was visited and Minister Meyer thanked the Mossel Bay Municipality for the excellent repairs and maintenance of these two important municipal plants. The minister showed his trust in the management of the Kleinbrak plant when he tasted the treated water.
“Western Cape citizens are faced with two major risks, with the current drought being the main risk. The drought has an extreme impact on food security and food inflation. This is exactly why the management by the Mossel Bay Municipality of the country’s largest desalination is remarkable” said Minister Meyer.
